SAS® Mobile Investigator enables you to use a mobile app to access SAS® Visual Investigator data and configurations. You can search while away from the office, or you can add or edit data quickly and easily while on the move.

From police officers, to fraud investigators, to social workers, to border and customs agents, having access to critical information whenever and wherever its needed can make a huge difference in how effectively and safely workers in the field can do their jobs. Using the same users, groups, security model, data, workflows, etc., as SAS Visual Investigator, SAS Mobile Investigator enables users to search, create and edit data on the go, as well as receive and process assigned tasks directly from their mobile device. Theres no need to return to the office to create new data, update existing cases, or receive and take action on the next task, which saves valuable time and dramatically improves productivity.

With SAS Mobile Investigator, users can make information available to others without delay, enabling prompt action to be taken. Having fast access to information also helps ensure user safety. For example, a police officer investigating an address could access any known information about the property and occupants – such as whether they are known to be violent or if they own a firearm.

SAS Mobile Investigator surfaces the operational and investigative powers of SAS Viya, providing access to data and key functionality directly from mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets. Users can search for items of interest; view, create and edit data; add attachments; and receive and complete assigned workflow tasks.

Designed for smaller touch screens, SAS Mobile Investigator takes advantage of native mobile device features. For example, you can use GPS location services to focus search queries on maps or use the device camera to record and upload photographs or videos pertinent to investigations. The app also helps ensure that users adopt organizational processes and systems by giving them access to information when they need it most, regardless of their location or device being used.
